High-level dialogue: Senegal’s long-term strategies (LTS)
On July 10, IDDRI and ENDA Energie co-organized a high-level event in Dakar on Senegal’s long-term strategies (LTS), as part of the DDP Senegal project funded by the French Development Agency (AFD). The initiative aims to strengthen the country’s technical and institutional capacities to better align short-term decisions with long-term sustainable development pathways..

Consolidation of the scenarios of the Climate change and sustainable development goals thematic group
Organized by ENDA ENERGIE, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and Ecological Transition (METE), the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mines (MEPM), this workshop was a decisive step in the development of the country’s Long-Term Strategy (LTS).

Towards a low carbon and resilient strategy: validation of scenarios for agricultural, industrial and infrastructure transitions
This technical workshop organized by ENDA ENERGIE, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and Ecological Transition and the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mines, brought together members of the transition thematic groups and key stakeholders to present the scenarios developed by the core groups of the Agricultural, Infrastructure and Industrial transitions.

Contributions to policy processes
DDP Senegal has contributed to:
- The project was able to provide information regarding possible renewable energy targets to the JETP negotiations, thereby contributing to the conclusion of the JETP agreement with an ambitious target for renewable energy development in the country.
- The project is currently providing inputs to the drafting of the Long-Term Vision in Senegal, via a process to bring together a wide range of stakeholders to design this long term development vision. The team at ENDA also work in close cooperation with the government around the elaboration of the LTV itself, via a project financed by the 2050 Platform.
