Presentation/Socialization of Nigeria’s Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategy (LT-LEDS)

The first day of the event took place at the Rockview Royale Hotel, attended by the Director General of the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC), representatives of the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Ministries Departments and Agencies, Civil Society Groups, and other actors. The DDP-Nigeria team presented the energy and macroeconomic results of the LT-LEDS to this set of stakeholders to socialize the work of the DDP-Nigeria.
The second day was attended by members of parliaments (House of Representatives and Senates) and other distinguished personalities. The Director General of the NCCC presented the key findings of the LT-LEDS report and solicited the support of parliament in actualizing the ambitiousness of the LT-LEDS.

Just published, this report summarises the results of the Deep Decarbonisation Pathways Project in Nigeria. The project was done in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment, Nigeria, through the Department of Climate Change (DCC) and the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC).
